Baltimore, MD – Andrew “AWALL” Cornwall shines brightly with his latest track: “Sunshine.” This song, infused with awesome vibes and uplifting themes, is a testament to AWALL’s evolution and resilience as a human and musician.
“Sunshine” features production by Dead Boy Beats, with mixing and mastering handled by AWALL himself alongside Nate Middleman of Above Ground Studios. Recorded in AWALL’s home studio, this track is the first one he wrote two years ago, capturing a unique moment in his journey. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Andrew wrote and recorded this project independently, outsourcing the beat and mastering to achieve an overall polished sound.
Starting out on FL Studio back in 2010, AWALL transitioned from being a producer to an artist, a shift that laid the groundwork for his current success. “Sunshine” was created at the onset of COVID-19, a time when AWALL had to adapt by building his own home studio. One of the studio’s key elements was a makeshift booth, crafted from a few towels and leftover wood, symbolizing his resourcefulness and determination.
During the isolation of lockdown, AWALL took the time to reconnect with his roots by exploring and observing nature, which helped him cultivate a sense of gratitude and inner appreciation for the world around him. This period of introspection fostered self-sufficiency and enabled him to step back from social media to dedicate himself fully to his music.
The lyrics in “Sunshine” reflect AWALL’s growth and introspection on life as he raps, “Always present in the now not to mention so impressive switchin styles up” and “All of the things that you is, just important as the things that you isn’t.”
These lines showcase AWALL’s ability to switch seamlessly between fast rap and R&B, employing different songwriting techniques. The second line, in particular, prompted him to reflect on his own characteristics and what he needed to feel fulfilled, leading to a deeper understanding of himself.
The main message of “Sunshine” revolves around the fleeting nature of opportunities, akin to the uniqueness of each sunset. AWALL emphasizes the importance of making the most of every chance, as one may never come again.
AWALL extends his gratitude to his supporters, followers, and the local community for enabling him to pursue his passion. His resilience and network of support have been crucial in his continued growth and development.
